I want to share a cleanse I formulated for busy people who may not be able to mentally or physically handle a liquid only diet, but still want to do an effective cleanse.   You will get tremendous results by pumping the body full of organic whole food nutrition while eliminating toxins daily.  

This cleanse is easy, affordable and comfortable to do.  It is a good idea to watch a few of these documentaries for motivation before you start:

Do this cleanse for at least 7-10 days for the best results with 14 being optimal.    If this seems impossible, watch the first documentary.  

I recommend prepping the body for your cleanse by eating 80% raw organic fruits, veggies and raw nuts/seeds for at least 3-5 days before you begin.  Remember you took plenty of time to pollute your body so be gentle and not hasty when preparing to cleanse it.

It’s also nice to get a group together within your office or home so you can support each other.  This makes it easier and fun! 

Fit 4 Maui EZ Cleanse-

*You may want to start your day with green tea if you are a coffee drinker.  This will help with caffeine withdrawals such as headaches, fatigue and irritability.  Coffee is highly acidic and should be avoided during a cleanse.

Morning Power Smoothie:

In a blender or Vitamix, add 1/2 cup of any combination of fresh or frozen organic berries, peaches, grapes, melon,  etc.  Changing out these ingredients will help with boredom and monotony so be creative but be organic!  Add 1/2 cup of fresh apple juice or orange juice and 1/2 avocado, if you need a sweeter more filling taste or if you are already thin and fear too much weight loss.  Cover fruit with unsweetened coconut water, iced unsweetened green tea or plain filtered water so that fruit blends easily.  Once blended, turn to low and add in 1 scoop of Lifeguard Greens, 1 scoop of Nano Reds, 1 scoop of Pure Plant Protein and one scoop or Pure Cleanse Plus.   If time is an issue in the AM, or if you are trying to lose weight, skip fruit and juice and use a shaker cup with 1 cup of ice cold liquid mentioned above and add powders mentioned above.  Always drink a large glass of water or large cup of tea after your AM smoothie. This helps to keep you feeling full and satisfied.  

Gypsy Juice: 

Use for lunch and/ or dinner depending on your schedule and your ideal time to make it.  It is fine to make the night before and use 1/2 for dinner and take the rest for lunch the next day.   If it is easier for you to hit a juice bar daily in your area, no problem!  Just have them make it an extra large and use mostly the items listed below.  Please use ONLY ORGANIC fruits and vegetables! Ideally you will consume 32 oz of fresh, organic, and mostly vegetable juices daily. 
WASH & JUICE:
1 Green Apple
1 stalk celery
1 carrot
1 cucumber
1 tomato
1 small beet or 1/2 large
1 small bunch of spinach
1 stalk kale
1 stalk chard
2-3 stems of parsely
1 clove of garlic (or more if you like it)
1 small piece of ginger (or more if you can tolerate)
1/2 a lemon
Pinch of cayenne pepper or a few drops of the liquid

Adjust quantities to make more or less juice as needed.

Take an additional scoop of Lifeguard Greens, NanoReds and pure cleanse plus mid-day mixed in Green Tea (unsweetened) or coconut water (unsweetened) or plain filtered water.  Do not take these products after 3pm until you see how your body reacts to them as the nutrients they contain can be too stimulating and keep you awake at night.   If you are going for an afternoon workout, however, this is an ideal “snack” to have along with plenty of water. 

Afternoon Snacks:

Fresh raw fruit and vegetables, fresh salads with no sauces, dips or dressings other than lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil. If you are able to go without solid food and feel energized, please do so.  Solid foods put extra strain on your digestive system and will slow the cleansing process, however this cleanse is designed to work with solid raw foods.

Note: If you are already thin but still need to cleanse, add plenty of avocado, olive oil, coconut oil and raw cashews to your daily intake.

Precautions about Cleansing: 

If you are seriously ill or with disease such as cancer, or HIV you will want to consult your health professional before starting any detox program.  Cleansing can put too much strain on the system for those who are already compromised or in the midst of toxic treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation.  There are clinics, such as The Gerson Clinic in Mexico, that specialize in treating patients who are very sick through specific cleansing protocols.  They have doctors on staff to supervise and monitor your recovery.  Please visit gerson.org to learn more.  There are many people who have completely healed themselves from very serious diseases with this therapy! 

If you are suffering from a serious virus or flu, it is a good idea to hold off on your cleanse until you are recovered.  That being said, adding Gypsy Juice, Lifeguard Greens and NanoReds will support your cells, strengthen your immune system and shorten your misery.  

Helpful Cleansing Tips:  

You may drink as much herbal tea all day as needed (mint, chamomile, etc) Have fun with the huge variety and wonderful quality of herbal teas at your local health food store or coffee place.  One of my favorite out and about treats while cleansing is a Matcha Coconut Latte @ Starbucks made with coconut milk.  Be sure to drink water water and more water to help the detox process.  It can be in the form of herbal tea as well as plain pure water but you should be consuming about a gallon a day!
* If you are not having at least 1-3 bowel movements per day, you may need to drink an additional smooth move tea packet mid day.  

Sometimes having a professional colonic during a cleanse can aid the body in a deeper removal of mucous and plaque stuck in the colon.  Wait until you are at least 1/2 way through your cleanse (3-5 days) to have a colonic.  This will give your body enough time to start to let go of mucoid plaque stuck on your intestinal walls. If you are scheduling a colonic, try to start on a liquid diet the night before and day of until your appointment time.  This will make the experience more comfortable and more effective. 

You may also give yourself coffee enemas or use an at home Colema board (please google how to do this correctly)  to decrease detox symptoms such as headache, fatigue, gas, irritability and constipation.  We also refer to this as a “healing crisis”.  Often times the body will produce flu like symptoms or other uncomfortable occurrences like skin rashes, intense headaches, dizziness and upset stomach during the first few days of a cleanse.  This is your validation that the body is letting go of a lot of crud and while this can be uncomfortable, it will almost always pass after a few more days on the cleanse so stick with it!  You can keep up with of the release of toxins and most often avoid a healing crisis by helping your body eliminate efficiently.   

Helpful Hints on Detoxing:

The body eliminates toxins not only through the bowels but through other important channels of elimination including respiration, perspiration, circulation and urination.  

Breath: Deep breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth during your day, especially during meditation or yoga is a powerful tool for detox and stress relief.   

Skin: Our skin is actually our largest organ of elimination so use it!  Taking infrared saunas, dry body brushing, hot yoga, epsom salt baths, and good old fashioned exercises that produce sweat are all great ways to help toxins come out on a large scale through your skin.  

Lymph: Taking a 20-30 minute walk a day is also a great way to help your lymph system move toxins along via better circulation.  

Bladder: I’ll say it one last time – drinking plenty of water is critical during a cleanse. If you think you are hungry, think of water as your food! Help flush your kidneys & bladder by drinking plenty of fresh pure water all day.  Add some fresh mint, cucumber, lemon or lime to fortify and enhance your water.  

Bowel:  Keep things moving and help rid your entire bowl of mucous, plaque and putrified waste with smooth Move Tea, professional colonics, at home enemas, colema board therapy, belly massage.  Placing a foot stool at the base of your throne puts your knees a bit higher which aids the body in elimination.
