All food and drink that we consume leave either an acid or alkaline ash in our bodies after digestion. Too much of the Acid forming foods can create acidosis in our bodies, which can lead to all sorts of health problems and disorders.

 

Below is a simple chart of basic acid and alkaline producing foods.

An ideal diet is 70% to 80% alkaline foods


 

Acid-producing examples:

meat
fish
poultry
eggs
most dairy
most grains and legumes
refined sugars
drugs
food chemicals
beer, wine, and liquor

Alkaline-producing examples:

fruits
vegetables
sprouts
sea grasses
herbs
wheat grass juice
alkalized ionized water
fresh orange juice

Fresh lemon and lime juice

 

 

Some fruits and vegeables are only slightly alkaline and some foods
are very acidic and should be avoided or eaten only on occasion.
